According to Wikipedia, a mille-feuille is made up of three layers of puff pastry, with 2 layers of crème pâtissière and the top layer coated with sprinkled powdered sugar.
Many variations later the Aussies developed the almost-perfect cake specimen - a VANILLA SLICE. My plan is to taste and rate as many Vanilla Slices as I can, starting off in Victoria (Australia).
Recommendations for scrumptious Vanilla Slice sources are highly sought, as are recipes which I will publish on the blog.
